Sandra Beatty

April 13, 1961 — August 1, 2020

Sandra Lehuanani Harumi Beatty, age 59, passed away peacefully in her husband’s arms at their home in Salt Lake City on Saturday, August 1st, 2020.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Sandra was always willing to share her Aloha Spirit and her smile that could light up a room with whoever she met. She loved to travel to new places (always collecting a refrigerator magnet or two), spend time with family and enjoy great foods. She loved to play sports, coached soccer at Kahuku High, and is a true Red Raider for Life – class of ’79. Sandra served as a nurse at Laie Elementary helping countless children for twenty years. She also worked with Delta Airlines and DGS for 8 years serving as a ground supervisor, which allowed her to travel with her husband on many adventures throughout the country. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, baptized August 23rd, 2014, and was sealed to her husband in the Laie, Hawaii temple September 26th, 2015. Sandra loved serving in the church, always spearheading activities, inviting friends and loved ones to very fun neighborhood home evenings, ward campouts and other church gatherings, and attending the temple. Anything Sandra touched turned into something far more fun, and she was always the life of the party.
She is survived by her eternal companion Billy, her mother Janet Pedro, and her four children, Marisha Apo (Micah), Dustin Huddy (Chante), Grischel Tuisavura (Emosi), Brianne Huddy, who gave her the greatest blessings of her life, her nine grandchildren who love her dearly and will miss her greatly. Her step-children Billy Beatty Jr., Erica Beatty (Kory) and Lexi Beatty. Her brothers Detrick Abraham (Darlene), Fredrick Pedro (Nina), Wes Pedro (Karen), Uncle Dougie, Aunty Iris, Uncle Rodney and Aunty Lahela, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear family and friends including her DGS ohana.
She was preceded in death by her father Peter J Pedro, and her brother Peter (Peter Boy) J Pedro, Jr.
