San Juanita M Ramirez passed away on May 18, 2021 at the age of 67 in her home in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on January 26, 1954 in Taft, Texas to Sostenes Moa Martinez and Jesusa Coronado Martinez. She married German Ramirez Jr on December 18, 1972.
Juana loved to go to Wendover, loved playing cards, bingo, and cooking for her family. Juana enjoyed spending time with family, her children and grandchildren, listening to her tejeno music and going dancing. Especially going to the Segunda and Kmart (until Walmart came around.) Juana cherished every moment with her loved ones. Her favorite color was purple. She had a heart of gold, and she was a best friend to many. She loved all her brothers and sisters, and would do anything for who needed it.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, German Ramirez Jr, her mother Jesusa Coronado Martinez, her children: Chris Ramirez (Ken Burrola), Tony (Mary) Ramirez, Amanda (Carlos) Guillen, Jennifer Ramirez, Augustine Ramirez, Emma Ramirez, her brothers and sisters: Alfredo (Delores) Martinez, Sostenes Martinez Jr, Belinda Reyes, Patricia Martinez Aguilar, Joann Martinez, Lilia Martinez, Randy Martinez, and her 19 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Juan Jose Ramirez, granddaughter Angelina Gonzalez, her father Sostenes Moa Martinez, and brother David C Martinez.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM, with a daytime viewing held one-hour prior beginning at 9:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 4501 W 5215 S, Kearns, Utah 84118. Viewings will be on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM (with the rosary to begin at 7:00 PM) at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Interment to follow the services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery. To participate in the services from your own home via live stream, please view instructions below.
