Oh dear Sally - you will be missed!
Sally was such a smart, loving, fun and dynamic wife, mother, daughter, sister and loyal friend. Her example of strength, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and love during an almost eight year battle with cancer will always be remembered.
Sally is survived by her loyal husband Lon Ian Akiona and sons Kedric Damian, Ian Ke’aliikanakaole and Jonah Ke’alii kai, her parents Janet and Cleed Crapo, brothers Darrin Cleed (Laura), Joseph Damon (Christi) and her beloved sister Jennie. Her nieces and nephews will deeply feel her absence as well.
Sally went to work straight out of high school for Paramount Acceptance and worked there for 34 years. With her sharp mind, she was able to go from entry level collector to the Vice President of Operations. She developed strong friendships there and was grateful for their support as her cancer battle proceeded.
Sally and Lon were sealed for time and all eternity on August 2, 2003 in the Jordan River temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Sally was a fierce and positive fan of her sons during their football games and wrestling matches. She knew exactly what to shout out for encouragement and coaching tips. Fellow fans loved her bold, loud and fun presence. Sally was a great example of a Mom’s team spirit. She was the ultimate family cheerleader.
She wanted to leave something to thank everyone in her support group. But the overwhelming number of family, friends, church members and the expansive medical staff that cared for her so well makes that impossible. But please know you were in her thoughts and feelings of gratitude.
Funeral services for Sally will be held on Saturday. November 16th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel at 12154 S. 3600 W. Riverton, Utah. The viewing will be held from 9-10:45 am with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am.
