Sabina (Luna) Martinez, age 89, passed away on February 24, 2014, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on September 23, 1924, in Pronto, Nevada to Peter Luna & Carmen Perez Luna.
Sabina enjoyed crocheting, cooking tamales. She was active at the Magna Senior Center, where she was a vibrant member of the community. Sabina had a deep love, affection, and pride in her family no matter where they were.
She is survived by: her daughter, Linda Pearce; grandchildren, Amy Pearce of Newport Beach, California, Tony Salvatierra II, of N Reading, Massachusetts, Maria Hogen, of New Zealand; daughter-in-law, Susan Hodgens, of Boise, Idaho; siblings, Margaret Suares, Delores Luna, John Luna, Pete Luna, Evelyn Luna, Rosie Luna, Rudy Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez & Samuel Hernandez; great grandchildren, Caroline & Noah Salvatierra of N Reading, Massachusetts. Preceded in death by: son, Tony Salvatierra; grandson, Nicholas Pearce; siblings, Carmen Perfecto, Larry Luna, and Juanita Leyva.
A viewing will be held on, Friday, February 28, 2014 at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah at 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah
