Sabina Wojnowska Babiak

Heyburn, Idaho – Sabina Wojnowska Babiak, a 94-year-old Heyburn resident, passed away on Tuesday the 28th of January, 2025. She passed away peacefully at home with her family members at her side.

She was born on January 9, 1931, in Bydgoszcz, Poland. She was the daughter of Szczepan and Rozalia Wojnowski. Sabina was preceded in her death by her parents, her husband Jan Babiak, and her brother Stanislaw Wojnowski.

She is survived by her daughter Halina (Ed) Whitney of Heyburn, Idaho, and two grandsons, Damian Graetzer of Nampa, Idaho, Fryderyk (Andrea) Graetzer, and a great-granddaughter Hadley Graetzer of Craigmont, Idaho.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 14, 2025, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 AM.  Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at the same address. 

The family expresses their appreciation to Intermountain Health Care in Burley, Idaho, and to Intermountain Hospice for the wonderful care given to Sabina.  Special thanks to Christie and Bobby Ann for the love and compassion they gave to our family.
