Ruth Mendenhall, 82, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, October 21st, 2017. She was born to Bryan and Velma Edwards on December 16th, 1934 in Douglas, WY.
Ruth married Harry Mendenhall and they had 3 children; David, Jane, and Thomas. She was a highly valued employee at Northwest Pipeline Corporation, where she made many lifelong friends and her organization skills, attention to detail, and fashion sense were her trademark.
Ruth loved to travel and was always visiting someplace or someone. She truly went out of her way to make others feel special and never failed to be kind to everyone she met.
Ruth was a lifelong follower of Jesus and a member of the nondenominational New Testament Fellowship. Her faith in God was her foundation in a world that is often unkind and unstable. Her faith enabled her to be genuinely patient and loving to everyone in her circle of influence, especially her family. She treasured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. She had a multitude of friends, neighbors, nieces and nephews, and in-laws whom she loved dearly.
Ruth is survived by her sister and best friend, Audrey Miller; her sons, David Mendenhall (married to Ana) and Thomas Mendenhall; her grandsons, JR Norman, James Mendenhall, Randy Mendenhall, Derek Parkin, Austin Parkin, Robert Rowland, Jose Sanez, and Diego Sanez; her granddaughter, Aubrey Bills (married to Zakory); and her great-grandson, Quill Bills. She also leaves two half sisters, Esther Barry and Mary Edwards.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Mendenhall, and her daughter Jane Mendenhall Parkin Halford.
