Ruth Ann Hopson

On the morning of January 28th, 2024, with family surrounding her, Ruth Ann Hopson (aka GG, short for Great Grandma) peacefully transferred from the kingdom of the Earth to the Kingdom of God. 

Ruth was born May 28th, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lloyd Fillmore and Ruth Snow. She grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and had two brothers, Jim and John Fillmore.

At the time of her passing she was living in St George Utah, which had always been her preferred place to live. The week before she passed she went on a cruise with her son and family and had her last supper(s), beings she got to have all she could eat as often she liked.

She retired from her clerk position with Intermountain hospital in 2014 but the boredome got then  best of her and she worked a few more years at Walmart. Her other hobbies included creating stained glass art pieces, reading books. listening to christian music and going to christian concerts, gardening, and grandkids.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bobby Hopson and her daughter, Julia Kummer. She is survived by her children, Mark Nielson, Ronda Miller, Travis Kummer, Matthew Kummer, and Michelle Durham. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and bunches of great grand children, We lost count.

A remeberence service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 at grace community church. Address is 11592 s 1300 e, Sandy UT. We will have a light lunch together.
