Ruth Cline

August 9, 1929 — May 4, 2014

Ruth Cline beloved Daughter, Sister, Amazing Aunt and Friend peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father on May 4,, 2014. Ruth was born August 9, 1929 in Murray, Utah to Lavere Benjamin Cline and Gladys Ruth Crump. She graduated from Granite High and served an LDS mission to the North Central States. Always active in church she served faithfully in many callings. She worked at Sweets Candy Co. and Litons Guidance Controls. Devoted to her family, she rarely missed a family event, even camping into her 70’s. She loved traveling, bowling and water fights. She spent many years at the Huntsman Center cheering on the Runnin Utes and Red Rocks. She made delicious candies and never showed up to parties without her nutty Chex mix. Even though her vision was failing she continued to give countless hours of service making and donating hats and quilts. Her presence will be greatly missed. Ruth is survived by her twin sister Reita, Sister-in-Laws, Lorna Cline and Phyllis Cline and countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Elaine (Fred) Wagner, Earl Cline and Ben Cline. The family wishes to give an extra special thanks to the many members of the Holladay 14th ward for the love and compassion they have shown for Ruth and Reita. A viewing will be held at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary 4670 S Highland Dr., Holladay, on May 9th from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Holladay 14th ward chapel, 4917 Viewmont Street, May 10th at 1 p.m., Visitation: 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
