Ruth Caldwell

Our loving mother, grandmother and friend Ruth W. Caldwell passed away October 11, 2015 peacefully in her sleep.
Ruth was born September 29, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the second daughter of Gus and Elsie Wolf. Ruth married her sweetheart, Earl R. Caldwell on April 6, 1956; together they had 3 children.
She spent many years giving of her time to the Festival of Trees; she loved helping others, and she was a member of the LDS Church, Willow Creek 9th Ward. Ruth worked part-time for many years for Job Service, until she became a grandma and retired. She loved spending time with her husband and her family, her pride and joy was her grandchildren. She supported them in every sporting event, school activity, and their many accomplishments.
Ruth has been a bright spot in every life she touched. Her love, friendship, kindness and strength will never be forgotten and will live on through those who knew her.
Ruth is survived by son Mark T, Sandy, UT; Grandchildren, Cole Reed, Riverton, UT, Gracee Catherine, Riverton, UT, Ryan (Natalie), Lehi, UT, Travis, Riverton, UT; and Great-granddaughter, Kallie. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Trudy; husband Earl, daughter Catherine “Cathy” A, and her son Earl C.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20 at the Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Bengal Blvd.) In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the festival of trees.
