Ruth Adrienne Atwood

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family November 19, 2017. She was born December 30, 1937 in Farmington, Utah to Tomas D and Alice L Valdez. She loved spending time with her family especially loved her grand-children and great-grandchildren, bingo, family gatherings, music, and going on cruises. She married Ramon Vasquez, later divorced, she married Melvin Atwood, January 1, 2005.
She is survived by her husband Melvin, 3 daughters, Micaela (Lazaro) Herrera, Angela Vasquez, Sylvia Vasquez, sisters, Janet (William) Fouts, Sylvia Martinez, Jonnie Higley, step children, Kaylene Atwood, Brenda (Robert) Ahre, Trina Williams, Jason Atwood, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and her pain-in-the-butt dog, Lashes.
Preceded in death by her parents, son, Ramon Vasquez Jr., brothers, Thomas and Joseph, grandson, Antonio “T-Bone” Vasquez, great-grandson, Martin Inger Jr. and many other family members. We would like to thank nurse Julie on the 4th floor Neuro ICU at IMC for all the loving care that she gave to Adrienne and our family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. A viewing and Rosary will be held Friday, November 24, 2017from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
