Rula May Campbell Redmond was born on June 2nd, 1940 to Fay and Zillah Campbell. She grew up on Princeton Avenue in the Garden Park area where she had many fond memories with her friends. She was proud of graduating from East High School. She married the love of her life, Patrick Redmond, on May 27, 1960. She raised three children and was involved in all their activities, including being a Cub Scout leader. She had four grandchildren who she had a special bond with. Her presence will be missed daily.
Rula enjoyed working at Raymond’s Department Store and The Salt Lake Board of Realtors. She loved going on rides through the canyons with her husband and enjoying her time spent with him. In her spare time she would embroider pillowcases and crochet around baby blankets.
Rula had the ability to get to know a person within minutes of meeting them. She was a very compassionate person, and took care of those around her. She enjoyed people and went out of her way for everyone. Anyone that met her was not immune to her friendly spirit.
She left us on June 6th, 2015 and is survived by her husband Patrick Redmond; her brother, Lanny Campbell; her children Pat Joseph (Annalynn) Redmond, Shauna May (Randy) Gotberg, and Scott Michael (Krista) Redmond; her Grandchildren Rob and Rick Redmond and Sagan and Kelli Gotberg.
