My name is Ruby Snyder. I was born on February 14, 1921 in Solomonville, Arizona. I was number 14 of 16 children born to Franklin Van Buren Barney and Lucy Ann Victoria Lindquist. During my marriage to Richard Fred Bergan Junior I gave birth to four wonderful children, Janet Paul, Nancy Johnson, Betty Lou Schafer, and Larry Bergan. I am so proud of them and love them more than words can tell. I have worked hard my whole life to provide for my family. In 1961 I married Charles E. Snyder, the love of my life. What fun we had together, camping, fishing, traveling, years spent in Mexico, and playing cards. I have had an incredibly interesting life and would have to say that my philosophy was that it was better to give than to receive. I have had great joy in sharing the bounty from my garden and fruit trees. I have always had a very strong testimony of the gospel and love my Heavenly father and Savior with all my heart. I was so happy to be of service, doing temple work and serving a mission at the age of 82. My life has been full and I made it to my goal of 96. I am now “Celestial” and am enjoying a great reunion in heaven. Many thanks to everyone who has ever had a part in my life. I am so grateful for all of you.
