Ruby Gilbert, age 81, peacefully passed away on November 2, 2013 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on October 20, 1932 in Wendell, Idaho to Rupert and Antonia Oneida.
Ruby loved to sing and dance. She was a compassionate person always willing to help anyone in need. She took pride in being a nurse’s aide. She lived most of her life in the Salt Lake Valley and moved to Tucson in 2004.
She is survived by her brothers, Louis and Fred; her sister Margaret; and her children Kathy Mortensen (Roger), Lisa Anderson, Vicky Burton (Roger), Sherry Anderson, Tammy Oneida, Michael Gilbert, 19 grandchildren any many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Antonia and Rupert; brothers Valentino, Henry, Tony, and John; her sister Jesse, and her son Kevin Anderson
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday November 12, 2013 at 11:00 am at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a visitation one half hour prior to services.
