Ruben Robles

Ruben Robles, 64, passed away on December 18, 2017, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on December 28, 1952, in Juchipila, Zac, Mexico to Roman Robles and Maria Del Rosario Salazar. He married his sweetheart Donna Rendon Robles on August 28, 1971.
He loved being with family and friends. He was always helping others and loved to party and spend time on the mountain.
Ruben came to the United States at a very young age to work beside his father Roman. Ruben’s life became the American dream. He started working as a laborer in the fields and chicken warehouses. He got married to his sweetheart and raised his family, all the time working hard. He started at Salt Lake City Corporation at age 18 as a general laborer and worked his way up to being a supervisor, and retired after 34 years of service. Ruben was able to become a U.S. Citizen and in this way was able to help his parents and siblings come to the United States and experience his life. Ruben was very proud of them as he would see them grow and have families, careers and good lives.
Ruben was most proud of his two sons watching them grow into the men he had hoped for and he would always be there for them if they ever needed him. His grandchildren were the light in his eyes.
He is survived by his loving wife, sons Ruben Jr. (Jenni), and Anthony; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, siblings Raquel, Jesus, Jose Gustavo, Rigoberto, Jorge, Javier and Hugo. Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Alicia and Maria Del Rosario.
A mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Vincents De Paul Church, 1385 Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah. A gathering will be held from 10 to 11 am prior to the mass.
