Rozella Erlinda Salazar

September 24, 1944 — March 24, 2021

Our Beautiful Angel, Rozella Erlinda Salazar, returned home on March 24, 2021 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on September 24, 1944 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Augustine Medina and Lena Goodhart. Augustine married Josie Medina, and together they raised Rozella in Price, Utah. She attended Carbon High School.
At a young age, Rozella met Toby Salazar and they fell in love. Their love grew over their childhood years, and eventually they married in Price, Utah. Right after their marriage, Toby and Rozella moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they raised their four children, Rodney, Pamela, Lonnie, and Roshelle.
Her heart was filled with love and service. She was a prayer warrior for anyone who was in need. Serving others through prayer or her actions allowed her angelic personality to shine here on Earth.
Rozella loved working in sales and she excelled at it. Her beautiful dimple-smile lit up the entire room wherever she would go. Her hobbies were shopping, reading her Bible, crafts, scrapbooking and making blankets for her loved ones. She loved spending time with her family and friends making them laugh, telling them a joke or two, and being outdoors. More than anything, she loved the Lord.
She devoted her entire life to her Lord and instilled the Gospel into her family. She attended Ignite Christian Church in Salt Lake City. She served in her church as a leader and director for the young women for many years. She had a beautiful voice and she and Toby were a part of a Gospel group called Gratitude. She was a proud grandmother to her eleven grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
Rozella is survived by her loving husband, Toby Salazar, her three children, Rodney, Pamela, and Lonnie Salazar, her eleven grandchildren, Jeremy, Skylar, Melissa, Danielle, Vanesa, Colton, Dillon, Christian, Shaye, Bridger, and Joel, and four great-granddaughters, Kambria, Lila, Quinn, and Johanna Rose, her siblings, Irene (Harold) Eiland, and Pauline (Robert) Colunga and one brother-in-law, Ernie Wiley.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Roshelle Salazar, and her siblings Della Wiley, Orlando Medina, and Inez Enriquez, and her beloved dog, Kenya.
Rozella truly touched all the hearts of all those who knew her. She was loved by so many and loved all of them. Her favorite quote: “I love you more!”
