Royal Orgill

August 13, 1923 — September 1, 2013

Royal Gordon Orgill slipped peacefully into the eternities at 4:00am on Sunday morning, September 1st having suffered a stroke on his 90th birthday. Born August 13, 1923 to Leslie Joseph Orgill and Martha Irene Terry Orgill.
Married Ruby LaRae Poulson in San Francisco on July 14, 1945. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
A man whose life was dedicated to service and family, Gordon served faithfully for almost 10 years as Bishop of the Winder 11th Ward. He served on the High Council and as a Temple Worker. He served his family by being an example of faith and long-suffering as he and his dear wife, LaRae, endured their fair share of heartache during their 68 years together and remain a symbol of everlasting love and togetherness. We are grateful for his example, his life and legacy.
