Roy Zerull

Roy Zerull, 78, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 in Holladay, Utah. He was born May 20, 1938 in Salt Lake City to Margaret Timm Zerull Stoll and Arno Otto Jacob Zerull. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Curt Stoll. He graduated from South High where he enjoyed German club, chess club, choir and debate team. Roy married LaRae Newbold July 31, 1958. together they had 5 children; later divorced. Married Joann Barton and was a stepfather to her 3 children: Leslie Bemis, David Gregg and Micheal Gregg.
Dad completed hours for Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and received 2 additional associates degrees later in life. He loved electronics, computers and modern technology.
Roy is survived by children: Doug (Theresa) Zerull; Brenda (Danial) Northrup; Blake Zerull, Andrea (Bill) Curtis. 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Ruth (Farrell) Kirk; Leone (Jerry) Hambleton.
Roy was preceded by his parents, stepfather, Curt Stoll, wife, Joann Barton Zerull, daughter Kimberlee Zerull, brother Glen Zerull, and stepson, David Gregg.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, with viewings Friday evening, March 31, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 pm and 1 hour prior to services.
