Rosendo Pando passed away surrounded by his family on July 17, 2015 at the age of 83. His quick wit and sparkling eyes will be missed by all who knew him.
Rosendo was born February 2, 1932 in Cleveland, New Mexico to Demetrio and Genoveva (Trujillo) Pando. After growing up in New Mexico, Rosendo served in the Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he met and married his sweetheart, Lillian and they had two wonderful children together. A very hard worker, he retired from a career at Kennecott after 34 years. Post retirement, Rosendo dedicated his life to his family, helping to care for his grandkids and then his wife when she became ill. Always wanting to be busy, he could often be found outdoors working on something in his yard. He spent his final years with his wife at St. Joseph Villa, and his family would like to express their thanks to the staff of the Special Care unit for the care he received.
Rosendo is survived by his wife, Lillian, children Jeff (Christy) and Joan (Ron), grandchildren Melanie (Tom), Ryan (Sandy), Blake (Brooklynne), Tanner, Taylor and Kelsey, great grandchildren Londyn and Sienna, and siblings Jake, Juanita, Corsie, Leo, Joe, Corina, Ernest and Alfred. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings Celani, Caralina, Carina, Bill and Julian.
