Rosemary was the third of seven children of George F. Cox and Jessie Eliza Cox, born in Salt Lake City, UT; raised in Tooele County. All of her siblings have preceded her in death. Lifelong member of the LDS Church. Married William A. Wayne 1942, later sealed in the SLC Temple. Six children came of that union, later divorced. Married Bertrand V. Alder 1967, who added his six children to the family. Bert passed away in 1993.
After a trailblazing career, Rosemary retired as Program Manager for the U.S. Air Force, Hill AFB. With the help of her longtime Fiancée, Garry Watson (deceased), Rosemary became a member of the El Kalah Shriner’s Ladies Auxiliary.
She always cherished her family’s pioneer heritage and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Rosemary was loved and cherished by her Children, Grandchildren, Great Grand Children, and Great-Great Grand Children, a legacy that grew to many family members. Children: William G. Wayne (deceased), Pat & Rick (deceased) Brown, Wendy & Tom Reeder, Kerry & Tracie Wayne, Robin & Kirk Carey, Sheldon & Stacie Wayne, Kathie Wayne, David (deceased) & Candi Alder, Walter & Marilyn Alder, Suzy & Carl Robertson, William & Cynthia Alder, Nancy & Mike Lasley, Mary Raylene Alder, and Dorene & David Lusk. Preceded in death by Grandchildren: Don Beatty, Todd Venz, Wayne Reeder, Mark Reeder, Benjamin Lasley, and Jennifer Wayne.
A viewing will be held Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, from 6-8 PM at Memorial Estates, 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123. Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Valley View 7th Ward, 2245 East 3900 South, Salt Lake City, UT, 84124 with another viewing 9 -10:45 AM prior. Interment to follow services back at Memorial Estates.Service Information
