Rosanne Foote Johnson was born on December 17th, 1952 to Arnold LeRoy Foote and Thelma Bernice Axelrod. She graduated from Skyline High School in 1971. Rosanne then married her sweetheart Allen Leroy Johnson on September 3rd, 1971. She attended beauty school and became a cosmetologist for which she held licensure for 32 years. After having her four children, she went on to attend college at Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville, Utah. There, she earned her Associates degree in Accounting, graduating Magna Cum Laude and earning a spot on the Dean’s List. Rosie was a public servant, serving the community as a crossing guard, most notably at Fox Hills Elementary. Also, she served her community while working at the Utah State Prison as the Secretary to the Warden of Food Services where she retired allowing her to spend more time with her husband and family. She loved to travel and she loved children. She was active in the PTA for several years at her children’s schools and also at Fox Hills Elementary. She enjoyed using her degree to help others when she would volunteer doing taxes for VITA and being a substitute teacher. Rosanne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings and capacities including in the primary and doing temple work. She loved her Heavenly Father and family most of all. She was known for her generosity and her soft-hearted nature. She will always be remembered for being a peace keeper, and an example for Christ like love, forgiveness and acceptance. Her love of laughter, music, cross-stitch, and her devotion to her family, her savior Jesus Christ and her Heavenly Father were the keystones of her life. Her kindness and warm spirit are sorely missed, but she has earned her place among angels. Until we meet again, parting is such sweet-sorrow and our reunion will be full of eternal joy. Thank you Rosie for all of the love and memories and to all of those that knew and loved our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Rosanne is survived by her loving husband, four children, seven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, two brothers, 2 sisters in-law, one daughter in-law, one brother in-law, two sons in-law, and also several beloved extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents and grandparents, Allen’s parents, her sister Nancy, her sister in law Linda and several beloved aunts, uncles and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed.
