Mesquite, NV – Rosalie T. Allred, age 88, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 in the Mesa View Hospital, Mesquite, NV.
She was born May 30, 1925 in Castle Dale, UT to Lloyd Thomson and June Wimber Thomson. She was married to Leo D. Wilde (deceased) in 1944 in Riverside, CA, and Milan D. Allred (deceased) in Salt Lake City in 1961.
She went to North Summit High School and lived in Wanship and Coalville, UT. During WWII she worked in a radio tube plant in Salt Lake City. After the war, she and her family moved to Kamas, UT.
She started her working career at the Intermountain Association of Credit Managers (NACM), a wholesale credit bureau for commercial accounts only in the Salt Lake City area. She worked for a total of 35 years with the NACM and was a manager for 25 years. She was also President of the Utah Credit Women’s Association. She also worked for the M.S. Society in fund raising. She belonged to an investment club where they had a good time playing the stock market. For many years the family enjoyed their cabin in Samak, UT. It was a place where everyone could come and enjoy the mountains. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose. Her many friends are her legacy.
She is survived by her sister Mrs. Bill (Inez) Simons and brothers Rex (Billie) Thomson, and Kay (Peggy) Thomson; her daughters Mrs. Ronald (Carolyn W.) Hitchcock of Sacramento, CA, and Mrs. Russ (Annette) Gregory, AKA Jayke of Mesquite, NV; and her son Kenneth D. Wilde, Mesquite, NV. She is proud of her grandchildren, Robert Littlefield, Rochelle Smith, Natalie Brun and Michael D. Wilde. Her great grandson in Salt Lake is Cadance Brun. Carolyn’s Sacramento family includes Jason (Erin) Hitchcock, and Brian (Missi) Hitchcock. Rosalie’s great-grandchildren are Christian Hitchcock, Madison Hitchcock, Sonya Hitchcock, and Olivia Hitchcock. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law Russ Gregory, and her sister-in-law Billie Thomson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11:00 am at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service. There will also be a viewing at Redwood Mortuary on Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Interment will be at the Marion Cemetery, Summit County, UT directly after the service.
