Rosa Maria “Rosemary” Douglas
1931 ~ 2019
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully after surviving breast cancer, pancreatic cancer at 79 years to have the cancer return 9 years later to take her away from us.
She was born in Czech Republic on June 29th 1931, during the German occupation. She was our strength and wisdom. Family was everything to her, her traditions kept our family close. She had many wonderful friends. She was an example to live by, touched so many lives with her kindness. We’ll miss her very much. Special thanks to Lighten Home and Hospice, her aides Ruth and Pam and especially her nurse Christopher Blain. Thank you to Rosemary’s grandson Doug and especially his wife Jaclyn for bringing meals twice a week, her LDS ward for bringing a meal a week and brother Rex and Owen for the family prayer and dedication of the grave and her granddaughter Chelsea for being her beautician and helping with housework.
Survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, John T. Douglas, daughter Julie Douglas, Blain Horrocks, grandkids, Douglas (Jaclyn), Christopher (Kristen) Chelsea (Chris), Candice (Kory) and 8 great grandkids. Preceded in death by her father, Ernst, mother Anna Patzelt, brothers Ernst and Herbert, daughter Rosemary Douglas Carruthers Tolman and son John T. Douglas Jr and grandson John T. Douglas III.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Memorial Mt. View Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 S.) A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services.Service Information
