Rosa Elizabeth Joyce Newsome Neal
Born February 5, 1927, Phenix City, Alabama to Olin Fletcher and Mildred Newsome. Rosa married Kenneth Leslie Neal, October 9, 1952, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Rosa faithfully supported her husband in all of his activities and made them successful with her faith and devotion. She served in a number of Church callings including in the South Carolina Columbia Mission. She was a compassionate woman who loved chocolate, her beautiful rose garden, and her family, whom she always put first.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Neal. Her five daughters, Rosemary Ann Bennett (Michael); Karen Joy Gowans (Floyd); Betty Miriam Neal; Leslie Kay Stewart (Kelly); Nancy Jean Durrant (Spencer); 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and her brother Calvin Newsome. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Joseph, Carlton, and Grace Wade, and Kenna Durrant, granddaughter.
Services will be held at the Rose Park North Stake Center 1155 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, UT. on Saturday, Jan. 28th at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held at Memorial Redwood, 6500 South Redwood Road on Jan. 27th 6-8 pm and from 9:30-10:30 prior to her service.Service Information
