Ronie Johanson

Ronie was born in 1946 to Sigvard and Fannie in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The family moved from Sweden and settled in Utah when he was young. He was one of eight (8) children.
He was in the United States Marine Corps (1966-1972), serving in Vietnam. Later, he served in the Air National Guard (1989-1995) in Desert Storm and Saudi Arabia.
In 1993 he proudly received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication at the University of Utah.
He worked as a truck driver for over 25 years working for Pride, Rapco and Interwest Transportation. He was employed with Questar doing security and has remained friends with many people he met along the way.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He was comfortable in any situation. Ronie’s signature “look” included a flannel shirt, 501’s and a cup of coffee. He loved breakfast food, camping, 4 wheeling, watching NCIS and CSI- all of them. He enjoyed a good BBQ or game night with friends and family. He made every effort to attend the many birthday parties that happen when you have lots of grandchildren.
Ronie is survived by his children; Sons, William (Carrie) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Ronie Darren of West Jordan, Utah; Chris (Toni) of West Valley, Utah; Robert (Suzzett) of West Jordan, UT and Daughters Jen (Jarred) McCarty of Farr West, Utah; and Jamie (Brandon) Russell of Grantsville, UT; 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 Step-Sons and their families. 4 brothers Ben, Brent, Leroy, Danny, 1 sister Anne Bates. He was preceded in death by his parents; Fannie and Sigvard, and Siblings; Carl and Kerstin.Service Information
