My friend, the love of my life, my partner and husband left on October 9th on the wings of an angel. We will miss him every day. He was born in Price to Earl and Marie Basinger on September 16, 1937 He was a special grandfather and great grandfather He had seven grandkids, Anastasia, Brian, Curtis, Thomy, McCall, Lucas, and Phenix. He had eleven great grandchildren Brian, Kobe, Kaya, June, Caleb, Dylan Evan, Kanien, Keeley, Kinley (Davey Rose) and Bradley.
Ron was a master salesman. He studied insurance with Bankers Life. He moved to Colorado with the Playtex company and later met a young man that encouraged him to go into the wholesale clothing business. He picked up some lines and hit the road. He began traveling and loved his job. He went back to Salt Lake City, picked up five states, purchased a motor home to travel in and show samples to buyers. He served as the vice present and president to the Salt Lake Marketing Association. Bev learned to be a sales lady along the road. Ron was a very good teacher. They met a lot of super people and made a many great friends along the way. They went to several clothing markets and visited Hawaii several times, stayed on the Queen Mary, and visited in Palm Springs and Miami. In about 1990 they both returned to retail sales: Bev to JC Penny’s and Ron to RV sales.
Ron is survived by his wife Bev and beautiful daughters Tammy and Jamie. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Janiel and Gloria and his precious sons, Tommy and Ronnie. Ron was loved by many will be greatly missed.
His memorial service will be held on October 14, from 6-8 pm at Sandy Ridge Community Church, 1829 Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation
