Ron Lott, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Payson, Utah, on March 19, 2025, at the age of 72 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 13, 1952, in Gunnison, Utah, to Cleveland and Drusilla Lott. Ron was the youngest of seven children.
On December 12, 1980, Ron married the love of his life, Debbie Lott. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering support for one another. Ron was a devoted husband and father who never missed a game or a moment in his son's lives.
A man of integrity, honesty, and reliability, Ron was someone you could always count on. If he gave his word, you knew he would follow through. He worked tirelessly, rarely missing a day on the job, and had a gift for building and fixing anything. He was the perfect example of what a man should strive to become making him a role model for his family and beyond. What else can we say, he was just THE BEST.
Ron had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in camping, hunting, and fishing—especially in his favorite place, 12 Mile Canyon. He was also a lifelong Utah Jazz fan, always cheering them on with a smile on his face. Not to mention coaching them from his recliner.
He saw the good in everyone and touched the lives of all who knew him. You couldn’t go anywhere with Ron where he didn’t run into someone he knew. He will be remembered for his kindness, his hardworking spirit, and his unwavering love for his family.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; sons, Ronnie (Jessie) and Gary (Jenn) grandkids Maddox, Hailee, and Addison; sisters, Carol (Parley) Roundy and Alberta (Cullen) Goodwin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Drusilla; his brother, Bill; and his sisters, Glenna, Carma, and Julia.
Ron will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who cherished him.
Ron’s spirit will “always and forever” echo in Debbie’s heart, a love that knows no end.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Huntsman Cancer Institute and Hospice for the amazing care Ron received.
