Ronald James Bell

September 19, 1953 — October 20, 2022

Ron Bell, our amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend, passed away peacefully while surrounded by the family he so deeply loved. We are comforted knowing that many family and friends await him on the other side for a joyous reunion.
Ron was born to Delen Bell and Elaine Evans on September 19th, 1953. He was the third of four children.
Ron was an incredibly talented athlete who excelled in Baseball, Basketball and Football at Hillcrest High School and went on to play baseball for the University of Utah.
Ron met and fell in love with Jeri Lu Orr at a young age and they dated throughout most of their middle school and high school years. They were sealed together for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on August 23, 1973. Together, Ron and Jeri raised four sons who loved playing ball, going fishing, or just hanging out watching a ball game or a movie with their dad.
Ron spent his 43-year career as a salesman for Burton Lumber where he made lifelong friends with both co-workers and customers alike. Ron remained heavily involved in sports even after he graduated from the U. Years of softball, golf and fly-fishing gave Ron many wonderful experiences along with many dear friends.
He had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a deep love for the Savior. He had a deep appreciation for the atonement of Jesus Christ and the knowledge that he would see his family again in the next life. Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, he continually showed faith in the Lord and sought to prepare himself to meet his savior again.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Jeri; Children: Travis Bell (Christie), Jake Bell (Debbie), Zack Bell (Crystal), and Cole Bell; 11 grandchildren; sister, Sharlene Goff (Randy); and sisters-in-law, Beth Bell (Craig) and Anna Bell (Steve). Ron was preceded in death by his parents Delen Bell, Cal Godfrey and Elaine Godfrey, along with his brothers Craig and Steve; and niece Carleen.
The family would like to thank Quality Hospice, especially Julie, Wendy, Lisie, Rachel and Amy.
