Ronald C. Russell

Ron, 82, passed away on November 28, 2016 at home in Sandy, Utah. He was born on June 1, 1934 in Salt Lake City, UT to Glen and Margaret (Marine) Russell. He married Trudi Bryker on October 24, 1970 in Salt Lake City. He served in the Army 82nd Airborne. Ron worked at Kennecott Copper for 35 years. He was a devout Catholic and member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Ron filled the home with music, singing, playing guitar, piano, and harmonica.  He loved airplanes and flying. His best days were spent fishing with his wife and children.
Ron is survived by his wife of 46 years, Trudi; children: Pauline, Suzanne, Carolyn, Natalie and Valerie; and 16 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Rodney, who passed August 4th.
A viewing will be held Thursday, December 1st from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 S. State Street, Sandy, UT.  A funeral mass will be held Friday, December 2nd at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 9757 S 1700 E, Sandy, UT, followed by burial at
