Roger Edison Arnold

April 7, 1931 — August 28, 2017

Roger Edison Arnold, 86, of SLC, peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family on August 28, 2017.  He was born to Leland Joseph Arnold and Roberta Childs Arnold in Gunnison, UT on April 7, 1931.
He served as an Airman Third Class in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1953.  He married the love of his life, Roberta Andrews (Magee) on April 2, 1951 and together they created a beautiful family.  Their lives were blessed with five children, Julie, David (Brenda), Michael, Lisa (Rick), Jill (Dan), 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Dad was a family man who loved the outdoors. He especially loved spending time in 12 Mile, Manti La Sal mountains.
Although we’ll miss our sweet dad and grandpa, we know the beautiful reunion with his sweetheart “Zoozy” and son Mike has been long awaited.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 30 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 11:00 am at Gunnison City Cemetery, 550 North Cemetery Road Gunnison, UT 84634
