Roberta Boogert Woodward

Roberta Edith Hansen Boogert Woodward – Age 82. Died June 19, 2015 in Salt Lake City Utah. She was born on November 3, 1933 in Toppenish Washington. She married Cornelius (Kay) Boogert in June 1967. He died in 1993. She married Ralph A. Woodward in 1994. She graduated from Toppenish High School and then later from Brigham Young University in 1965. She taught English and foreign languages in Toppenish WA, Murray UT and Layton UT. She loved teaching high school students and they in turn loved her. She loved to travel the world with her husbands and was co-owner of B & R Travel and Tours. She was an active member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers and cherished her pioneer ancestry. She loved literature and theater and especially enjoyed the works of Shakespeare. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep and abiding love of the Savior Jesus Christ and of the restoration of the gospel. She held many callings, and one of her favorite was leading the music in Sacrament meeting.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph, step children, Vickie and Dell Cammack, Eva and Henry Salazar, Jeanette and Kevin Taylor, Janine and Glen McMillan, Lucy and Steve Borg, Ralph and Janet Woodward, Wesley and ZoeAnn Woodard, and Tom and Eirinmarie Woodward. Her brother and sister in law, Lee and Lorilee Hansen, and loving nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kay Boogert, and two step children, Joanne and Stan Boogert.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winder 6th Ward, 4366 So. 1500 East. A viewing will be held Monday, June 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 So. Highland Dr., and one hour prior to services.
