Robert Warner

April 25, 1925 — March 21, 2018

Robert Onis Warner, our loving, husband father and grandfather, 92, passed away on March 21, 2018 in American Fork, Utah.
He was born at home in Antimony, Utah on April 25, 1925 to Milo Lewis Warner and Valda Syddall Warner.
He spent his very happy childhood growing up on the family farm. He graduated from Richfield High School.
He was a WWII Veteran who proudly served in the US Army in the Pacific theater. When he returned from the war, attended BYU where he met his sweetheart, Afton Leone Speedy. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 8, 1950. Together they raised six wonderful children.
He had a career as a geologist and loved working out in the field for private companies and the Federal government.
He loved four wheeling with his brothers and family, rockhounding with his buddies and traveling.
He had many church callings, but his favorite was serving in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.
He was much loved by all and will be very greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Afton Leone Speedy, his children; Kerri Miller (Randy), Russ Warner (Leitte), Debbie Spencer, Greg Warner (Becky), Tracy Cordova (Darrell), Jacalyn Basford, his brothers; Kenneth Warner (Marilyn) and Ray Warner (Louise), 26 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Valda Warner, brothers; Grant Lewis and Milo Lane Warner.
Funeral services will be held on March 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the American Fork 32nd Ward (270 North 900 East, American Fork, UT). A viewing will be held prior to service from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery (6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT).
