Robert Tafoya

Robert Tafoya Sr. 85, passed away on January 21, 2014 in West Valley City. He was born on November 2, 1928 the son of Alfredo and Flora Padilla Tafoya in Espanola, New Mexico. He married Mary Jiron in 1947.
My precious dad enjoyed making a lot of items out of wood and building things with his hands. We loved hearing him play his guitar and harmonica. He was a volunteer and helped senior citizens and was part of the Healing Rooms Ministry, and had such a tender heart. He had a deep love for his family. He would encourage his family and was so compassionate and gentle. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Mary, Children Robert Tafoya Jr. Roy Tafoya, MaryAnn (Robert, Lefty) Espinosa, his grandchildren Paul, Misty, Ruth, Sasha, Tara, Celia, Michelle, and Mario, and eleven great grandchildren.
A Viewing will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday January 24, at Mountain View Christian Assembly, 8000S 300 E Sandy, Utah. Cremation to follow. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 25 at 10:00 at the church.
