Robert (Bob) Nielsen passed away on December 16, 2016 at age 86 of natural causes, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 21, 1930 in Moroni, Utah to Clarence Orlando and Bessie Curtis Nielsen. He married Doris Cook Nielsen on February 6, 1953 in the Manti Temple.
He served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the University of Utah and held down two jobs at the same time. He was a very dedicated and hard-working man. He managed Frank Edwards Company for 20 years then moved forward to be the co-owner of Quick’s Inc. with his brother, Leon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris, daughter Helen (Tom) Campos. Grandchildren Cody (Silver), Malia and Tyler and two great-grandchildren, Brennen and Noah. He loved his family dearly and he will be missed by his family and friends.  Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Jay and Leon and his sister, Helen.
In honor of Bob’s wishes, a closed casket visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20th from 1-2 pm at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Bengal Blvd.) A graveside service will begin at 2 pm at the Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Emily Effect at www.theemilyeffect.org.
