Robert Maughan

Robert O. Maughan, 72, passed away peacefully on August 5th at his favorite camping resort. Bob and his wife Georgia worked together creating a very successful business, which they worked until his last days. His love for life was his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, car shows, all types of music, any and all electronics, fixing things and taking pictures of all their family adventures. Robert took pride in taking care of everything he worked for. He was funny and loved to joke around. Everyone who met him loved and respected him. He will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years, Georgia; their three daughters Sandy, Lori (Frank) Arnone, Julie (Jason). His pride and joy, his five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and best friend Jay; his brother Brad and his sister Dixie as well as all his nieces and nephews who loved their uncle Bob. He was preceded in death by his mother Opal, and fathers Dallas & Ivan and his brother Doug and sister Debbie.
A viewing will be held at Deseret Mortuary (36 East 700 South) on Monday, August 10th from 6pm-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11th at Noon (with a viewing 1 hour prior) at Deseret Mortuary. Interment will follow the services at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
