Robert James Goodwin’s funeral will be on Monday, September 16th at 1:00. The funeral and luncheon will be at 3599 Orchard Drive BOUNTIFUL, Utah 84010.
On September 12, 2019 Robert James Goodwin, a dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend passed away with his darling wife by his side, peacefully in the night. After a courageous battle with cancer, he has again returned to be with his Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bob was born August 27, 1952 to Beverly Joyce Blank and James Claude Goodwin in Los Angeles, California. He grew up surfing and making memories with a great group of friends who he continued to love and cherish for his entire life. He spent his life working hard as a Civil Engineer. He gave freely of his time and service, always looking for ways to lighten the load of others and bring a smile to their face. He married his sweetheart, Cynthia Lyn Marson, on August 19, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They spent most of their life living in Castle Rock, Colorado where they were blessed to be introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bob loved Jesus Christ and committed his life to serve the Lord and those around him. Bob was a devoted father to his children Katy (38), Kylie (27), Bryce (25) and Matthew (19). They were his everything. He fought his battle with cancer hard until the very end. He continued to fight and endure with a smile on his face and laughing and joking with everyone around. His magnetic personality and kindness made it imposable to not enjoy your time with him. He was kind, gentle, caring and genuine. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, children, mother, brother, sister and their families.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at the LDS Utah Orchard Stake building located at 3599 Orchard Drive, Bountiful, Utah, 84010 at 1:00. He will then be buried at the Lakeview Cemetery.Service Information
