Robert “Bob” Edward Chapman, age 81, passed away Oct. 14, 2015 peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born in Oakland, California on Feb. 5, 1934 to Vernon Lorenzo Chapman and Sylvia Corinda Clapp. Until the age of 8, Bob lived with his parents, two brothers and four sisters in the San Francisco Bay area. The family then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where Bob has remained.
Bob attended South High School and Graduated from West High School after which he attended college while raising his family.
In his adult career he worked for the Kelly Company, American Paper Company as a deliveryman, computer technician for the State of Utah and Hercules Aerospace, created and operated Rocky Mountain Soft Water Company which he partnered with his brother Don, and custodian at Bingham High and Draper Elementary Schools.
Bob married his “Sweetheart” Theone Pehrson in 1956. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 4 children and have watched their family grow to include 28 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Bob was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
