Robert (Burk) C. Burkman

Robert (Burk) C. Burkman, 66, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Burk was born on May 24, 1949 in Murray, Utah to Gilbert and Karna Burkman. He married Dianne Pease in 1967 and together they had four children.
Burk was a member of St John Baptist Catholic Church and member of the Knights of Columbus. Burk was a man of many talents. His career includes being a Police Officer, truck driver, and business owner. He loved the outdoors, being on his motorcycle, and most importantly spending time with family.Burk had a heart of gold that radiated in his smile.  His greatest joy came from helping out those he loved. We know he will always be a special Guardian Angel to his grandchildren.
Burk is survived by his children: Alysa (Oliver) Burkman–Flaig, Misty (Darin) Birch, Brandy (Mike) Kvenvold, and Clint (Liz) Burkman, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Gilbert Burkman, KarnaMay Robinson, Rudy Burkman, and Clara Taylor. Burk is preceded in death by mother, father and sister, Annette. Also survived by friend and companion Michelle.
A memorial will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S 900 E, Murray. Funeral mass services will be held at 1130 on Friday, April 8, 2016 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11800 S 300 E, Draper.
