Bob Ernest Rauchfuss, born Feb 27, 1942 to Fred Arata and Theresa Rose Daveggio in San Francisco, CA and later to be adopted by Glen Moran and Walter Rauchfuss of Los Angeles California passed away on October 31, 2017. He will be missed by many friends and relatives. Bob’s life goal was to “Get a trailer, and live the rest of his life camping,” but the goal had to be put on pause to raise his sons Joseph Rauchfuss (Joe) and Robert Rauchfuss (Little Bob). He rebuilt a cabin in Claremont, CA and spent most of his life loving the outdoors. He married Mary Rauchfuss in 1990 and took on the role of being a father figure and a good influence to her children. After serving in the Army Reserves in 1963 Bob got involved in the transportation industry and drove public buses for 33 years for RTD and Durham Transportation. We love Bob for his love, humor, support, knowledge, and the Legacy that he leaves behind. Bob was a man that had the upmost respect for people and would give his time to those in need. He is survived by his spouse Mary Rauchfuss, sons Joe (Danette) and Robert (Allison), stepsons Robert (Diana) and Victor Young, stepdaughters Edith and Gina (Luis Herrera) Young.
Grandchildren include Andrew (Ana Cuellar) Young, Isaac Herrera, Brandon Cervantes, Joshua Herrera, Megan Cervantes, Allison Young, Amanda Rauchfuss, Ethan Rauchfuss, and great-grandchild Abel Young.
Bob was preceded in death by his biological and adopted parents as well as his brothers Fred and George Arata.
We would like to give special thanks to the following people:
Dr. Joanna Tierney for all her care she has given Bob during the past three years as well as to IMC Hospital and all the Doctors and Nurses staff that took care of him while was in their care.
To Alan his physical therapist from Intermountain Home-care.
Deborah, his nurse at Intermountain for being so kind and caring.
Bob would want to wish his family and friends love to all.
(God be with you till we meet again) Dad’s favorite saying.
We will all miss his contagious laugh.
