Ricky Blaine Davis, born September 3, 1967, to Leonard James Davis Jr. and Karen L Barbour, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2025, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
Rick was married to the love of his life, Carrie, on October 12, 1991. Together, they built a life full of memories, laughter, and a love that will never be forgotten. Rick was the ultimate provider, always putting the needs of his family first. His love was shown not just through words, but through countless acts of service, always ready to help and lend a hand.
Rick was a master knife maker, a passion he pursued with dedication and pride. He often gave his creations to veterans as a token of gratitude for their service. He was a dedicated employee of H & E Equipment for 30 years.
He is survived by his beloved son, Channing Antell; his precious daughter, Paige Andersen; his adorable granddaughter, Emery Antell; and many pups and grand puppies who will miss his affection. He was preceded in death by his dad, Byrl H Barbour.
Rick, a gifted handyman, could fix anything and was always willing to help others with their projects, particularly his mom. He was an avid instructor of DIY projects, generously sharing his knowledge and experience with anyone who needed guidance.
Rick's family and friends will forever remember him for his unwavering love, silly personality, gentle nature, strong hugs and kisses, and the way he touched everyone around him. He may be gone, but his legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of his five siblings: Randy, Debbie, Walt, Cindy, and Karlene. His many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
An open house will be held in honor of Rick's life on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Interment following at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at the same address.
