Richard Openshaw

April 9, 1930 — March 31, 2013

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. He was born in Santaquin, Utah, the second to youngest of 9 children. Growing up in Santaquin he had a love for basketball. He often would walk all the way to Payson for game and for practices, even in cold weather. He had a great sense of humor and was quick witted. In his job as a Security Guard he enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He loved boating, fishing, hunting and was a real outdoors person. He was known to have a green thumb and enjoyed to work in his garden. Many enjoyed the fruits of his labor. He was a Utah Jazz fan. He was personable and easy to talk to and loved spending time with friends and family especially his great grandchildren, Bailey and Quinn. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 4:00 p.m. at the LDS Ward House located at 80 West 900 South.
