Richard Paul Morse

Born January 27, 1950, to Harold M. Morse and Hazel L. McCarrel Morse in Denver, CO. Died October 27, 2024, at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT, surrounded by his entire family.

As a young boy, Richard worked on his grandparents’ farm in Grand Junction, CO. After moving to Salt Lake City, Richard attended Skyline High School.

Richard devoted the middle part of his life to caring for our mother, whom he lived with and cherished until her passing in 1996.

In his later years, Richard found joy in the simple things in life. He loved sitting outside, whether he was simply enjoying the weather or tending to his garden while he chatted with his good friend Kory.

Richard truly adored his dog Cassie, and she idolized him. Cassie is heartbroken at losing her best friend, and she counts the days until they can be together again.

Richard is survived by his brothers, Donald H. Morse and Raymond E. Morse, his sister Karen Sue Sechler (Kory Lunak), his niece Pamela Morse, and his nephews Keith Sechler and Gregory Sechler (Brandon Higbee).

Richard was preceded in death by his niece Lisa Kim, father Harold Morse, mother Hazel Morse, and sisters-in-law Paula C. Morse (Donald) and Judith E. Morse (Raymond).
