It is with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to our beloved Richard L Kelso on October 30, 2024. Richard’s passing was without warning at his home in West Jordan Utah. For many years he bravely endured illness and was a fearless example to us all. Richard was a loving husband to Edna (Kris) , his best friend and one true love. A father to Carrie (Dave), Kimberly (Jed) Grandfather to Kehlcie (Eric) Cahlie (Larry) Khatei (Mike) Brooklynd (Tyler) Abbie, Mads and great grandfather to Zoey. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Richard was there to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Rick loved life, family and working (two jobs for many years). He was a union teamster member for several local freight companies. He was quite the athlete. He played many sports throughout his life but his love for golf spanned 30 plus years even winning a couple of tournaments. He loved playing catch with his girls, and traveling to tournaments to support them. He was a die hard LA Dodgers fan (even in the bad years). He was an amazing role model for his family, didn’t judge people, he would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. Steak was his favorite food next to the stuffing and turkey at thanksgiving. Rick loved his coffee, newspaper and word searches with BIG letters. His positive attitude, quick wit, smile, and gracious spirit was ever present in his life with his family and friends. He might be gone but his spirit and legacy will continue on through his family and friends. Future celebration of life to come.
