Richard Keith Walter

Richard Keith Walter, Age 90, passed on May 15, 2020 in West Jordan, Utah. Keith was born on March 25, 1930 to Clement Edward and Ruby Anna Johnson Walter in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, UT. At 18 years old, Keith enlisted in the Marine Corp on July 22, 1948. He met his beloved wife, Jacqueline Richards-Black in San Diego, CA and they were married October 18, 1953.
Keith served 8 years in the United States Marine Corp and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the Korean Service Medal and was honorably discharged. After his military service, he trained as a Master Printer and worked in this profession until his retirement. In his early years of retirement, Keith spent time working on computers and gardening. In his later years, he kept up with the newest electronic innovations and enjoyed watching tennis on TV.
Keith is survived by his older brother, LaVarre Walter, Salt Lake City, UT., and  children, Gerald Walter, Forest Falls, CA., Lora Doud, Winchester, CA., Debra Pacheco, West Jordan, UT., Kimberley Kincher, Eden, UT. He was “Grampa” to 13 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren. Keith is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacqueline and son, Richard.
