Richard Francis Taylor

November 8, 1940 — June 20, 2021

(November 8, 1940 – June 20, 2021)
Richard Francis Taylor age 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 20, 2021.
Richard was born on November 8, 1940 to LeRoy H. Taylor and Maurine H. Petersen. He married his sweetheart Bonnie on June 21, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. He grew up in Park City and graduated from Granger High School where he played the clarinet in the marching band.
He worked at Kennecott Copper Mine for 36 years as a diesel mechanic. Richard enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, horseshoes and playing golf. He also had a passion for gardening and digging holes in his backyard. Richard adored his grandchildren, especially the babies, you were lucky to hold one of them if he was around. We loved his contagious laugh and how he would tease his grandkids. Richard had a big heart and always made you feel welcome. He would give all he had to help his family and he treasured them.
We love you dad. Thank you for the memories and your wonderful example.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, sister Carol (Doug) Arnesen, children Karl (Marie) Taylor, Chris (Steve) Duffin, Daniel Taylor (Crystal White-Cloud Harris), Keith (Monica) Taylor, Diane (Shane) Wilkinson, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his parents, brother LeRoy Jr. and sister Bettie.
