Richard Earl Holmes

Richard Earl Holmes passed away at the age of 90 on May 18th 2021, in West Valley City at his home. He was born on August 14th 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT to Jessie Earl and Edythe Holmes. He married Marie Virginia Perkins on March 5th 1951.
Richard served in the Armed Services from April of 1951 to April 1953. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, camping, and traveling in the trailer along with spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marie V Holmes, daughter, Debbie (Brent) Whitlock, son, Bret (Ronie) Holmes, sisters, Carolyn Gilger and Judy Payne, grandchildren: Shawn (Tracy), Shane (Jen), Jeremy (Eileen Whitlock), Derick (Darcy), Greg (Mea) Holmes and ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jessie Earl, along with his mother, Edythe Holmes and his sister Joan.
A Graveside Service will be held on May 25th 2021 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Cemetery located at 6500 South Redwood Road West Jordan, Utah 84123.
