Richard E. Maxwell

Richard E. Maxwell passed away 12/21/2019 at his home at the age of 68. Born 12/03/1951 to June Geneva Sjostrom Maxwell and William Cleaver Maxwell in Rupert, ID. Richard grew up in the Rose Park area of Salt Lake City, UT where he had many friends and acquaintances. Graduated from West High School. Richard is a military veteran having served four years in the Air Force. Richard had a great love for country and patriotism. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, exploring, and anything that included the outdoors. Richard took his family on many exciting adventures that he planned out right down to the location, hikes, and meals. He loved babies and loved holding nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Richard had his own HVAC company and was always willing to help family and friends in need.
Richard is survived by daughter Jamie Mix, sisters Nancy Peck, Kathy Livingston, Rosanne Rasmussen, Lisa Hadley(Kevin), 3 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by mother and father, brother Ronald (Ronnie) John Maxwell, brother-in-laws Tom Peck, Gary Livingston, and Dan Rasmussen.
The family would like to especially thank his nephew Jason Kirk who was always there for him, especially in his later years, and to his friends Achim and Ella.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan UT on Monday, Dec 30, 2019 10:00-11:45 am followed by graveside services.
