1933-2015
Richard William Baird, age 81, husband, father, grandfather and servant of God, returned home, May 28, 2015, once again leading the way for
his family. Born June 5, 1933 in Salt Lake City, UT. Richard served in every part of his life from serving his country in the Korean War, to serving in many callings in the LDS church. He served as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple for 24 years, as executive secretary under the direction of 5 different bishopric’s and on the high council. He diligently provided for his family, retiring from Mountain Bell Telephone after 33 years of service. Richard also worked at BYU Salt Lake Center for 11 years.
Richard is survived by his eternal sweetheart and companion of 62 years Connie; 4 children, Teresa Baird, Julie (Kordell) Howell, Amy (Todd) Hall, Michael (Shauna) Baird; he was blessed with 12 grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandsons Zachary and Joshua.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Riverview 7th Ward, 11400 South 700 West, Draper, UT with a viewing one hour prior to the funeral. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT.
