Revae Marvene (Grow) Nelson

Revae Marvene (Grow) Nelson, 68, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away unexpectedly in her home on April 22, 2022. Revae was born June 2, 1953 in Oakland, California, the daughter of Sterl Victor Grow and Oral (Alexander) Grow. She married James Lee Nelson on August 10, 2000. They were later sealed in the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple on May 6, 2010. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served in a number of callings, her favorite being Nursery Leader.
Her hobbies were her grandchildren and supporting their hobbies and activities, playing card games with her mom and others, and playing hidden objects and word puzzle games on her phone. She was a frequent denizen of the Dollar Store, as her grandchildren can attest to. Revae was the best concert-going companion to her husband and daughters. She was a pet lover and received her latest pet as a gift from all 6 of her children on her birthday in 2020. Her family meant the world to her and she made everyone feel like family.
Revae lived for and loved serving others. The many random acts of kindness that she did, without recognition, is immeasurable. She put everyone’s needs before herself. She helped when she could and even when she couldn’t. She truly was an angel on Earth.
Revae is preceded in death by her parents, her son Trent Barney (stillborn) and her brother Barry Lynn Grow.
She is survived by her sister Cecelia Jane White (Merle) and her brothers Steven Victor Grow (Crystal), Von Alexander Grow (Marlis), Norman Leigh Grow (Jerry), Roger Rayhbuck (Danita), her children Kimberly Ann Chatwin (Rob), Andy Huffman (Kellie), Shandelle Nichole Carpenter (Chris), her step-children Mark James Nelson (Heather), Valerie Mae Longhurst (Jared), Scott Lee Nelson, and her most favorite part of life, her 20 beloved grandchildren and her kitty, Scarlett.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11:00 am with a viewing two hours prior to service at 5156 Clay Hollow Ave, West Jordan, Utah, 84081. Interment to follow at Memorial Redwood Mortuary; 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, Utah, 84123. Services will also be Live-Streamed via Zoom: https://zoom.us/j/.96019758539
