Reva Marilyn Carlston Mandarino

January 21, 1929 — December 18, 2016

Our sweet, wonderful mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to loving parents Glenn and Reva (Olson) Carlston on January 21, 1929. She grew up in the Capitol Hill area of Salt Lake with her parents, sister Carolyn (Lee) and brother Gary. Together they had many friends and family, creating a lot of very happy memories. Mom attended West High where she met the love of her life and our father, Fred Mandarino.
Mom was a loving, selfless woman who put everyone’s needs above her own, and she taught us by example the importance of helping those less fortunate. She loved family get-togethers. She loved our Heavenly Father and was a dedicated member of the LDS church, faithfully going to the temple every Tuesday and church every Sunday until her health declined.
Mom was preceded in death by our Dad, her parents, brother, sister, and daughter Tina Morreall. We know she is so happy to be in their loving arms once again!
Survived by four children: Cheryl Mandarino Fox, Steve Mandarino, Jan Mandarino, Paul Mandarino, son-in-law Ed Morreall, brother-in-law, Don Lee, and sister-in-law Ruth Carlston; 13 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the LDS Cottonwood 12th Ward, 6180 South Glenoaks, Murray, on Thursday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Remembering the charitable spirit of our precious mother/grandmother and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
