Renee Gardner

March 12, 1931 — November 21, 2014

Renee was born in March of 1931. She left this mortal existence on November 20, 2014. She was married February 12, 1951 and sealed for time and eternity on September 16, 1970. She met her husband Weston Gardner while attending the University of Utah, and supported his studies to graduation. She had three children; Leslie, Michelle and Matthew and devoted her life to them. She was a master homemaker. Weston’s job involved relocating the family to Billings Montana, Paris and Bordeaux France, Tripoli Libya, Winnetka Illinois, Irving Texas and Indonesia, each of which involved challenges with language, health, schooling and different ways of life. She handled these different situations with love and understanding. Especially because of her experiences overseas, she loved her country more and more and believed the constitution was divinely inspired.
Renee enjoyed traveling and visiting art museums throughout the world. She loved music, singing and gardening. She sang in the chorus of the opera “Dido and Aeneus” at Sabratha with Norwegian opera stars. She played the lead (Julie Jordan) in “Carousel” put on by the U.S. Air force in Libya. This was presented for the Crown Prince and King Idris. She also enjoyed literature and quilting in Libya and in Indonesia as well as church activities.
Renee always said that she would love to be twinkled into heaven. She is now preparing yet another loving home for her family there. Renee was a beautiful, supportive and faithful wife. She was also a devoted mother and the spiritual heart in the home. She will be sorely missed.
